Background

Deborah Stelling’s work is composed of abstract images combining pattern, texture and color.  The different processes (wrapping, stitching, layering) and arrangements used are important exercises in self-discipline and thought.

A variety of techniques such as woodcuts, lithographs, etchings, embossments, and serigraphs are stitched into the paper and canvas to achieve her aesthetic direction.
